The diaphragm is making a comeback as a hormone-free contraceptive method. Many women appreciate the control, natural approach, and independence it offers. To support an even smoother experience, the Diaphragm Inserter + Remover provides helpful assistance during both insertion and removal.
The Diaphragm Inserter + Remover makes it easier to work with the Caya® or Singa® diaphragm. Diaphragms can be securely hooked onto the insertion side and guided into place. The curved hook side enables gentle
removal—ideal for users who have difficulty reaching the diaphragm rim. With smooth, rounded edges and an ergonomic shape, the tool is designed for safe and comfortable handling.

How to Use the Diaphragm Inserter + Remover
- Two sides of the rod
- Side 1: insertion side
- Side 2: curved hook side for removal
2. Folding and positioning
- Hold the diaphragm by the grip dimples so it folds.
- Stretch it over the insertion side and secure it in the notch.
3. Apply gel
- Apply approximately 4 ml of diaphragm gel to the folded diaphragm.
4. Insertion
- Insert the rod with the diaphragm deep into the posterior vaginal fornix.
- When correctly placed, the diaphragm will no longer be visible from the outside.
5. Release
- Turn the rod slightly so the diaphragm detaches, then withdraw the rod.
6. Check the position
Ensure the diaphragm:
- covers the cervix
- sits securely behind the pubic bone
7. Removal
- Use the curved hook side to catch the front edge of the diaphragm and gently pull it out.
