In 2025, KESSEL medintim GmbH conducted a voluntary online survey with 805 participants to better understand real-world experience with the Caya® diaphragm. The results reflect the feedback of participating users.

Why Women Choose Caya®
When asked about their reasons for choosing the Caya® diaphragm, respondents reported:
- 36% wanted a hormone-free contraceptive option
- 25% wished to avoid hormone-related side effects
- 23% appreciated that the method is used only when needed
Many respondents indicated that they had previously used hormonal contraceptive methods.

Ease of Use
85% of participants reported no difficulties using the Caya® diaphragm.
Among those who experienced challenges, the most commonly mentioned topics were insertion, positioning, or removal. As with all user-controlled contraceptive methods, proper instruction and initial practice may support confident use.

Partner Acceptance
Survey responses showed predominantly positive or neutral partner reactions:
- 79% reported that their partner viewed the Caya® diaphragm positively
- 14% indicated that their partner did not mind
- 4% reported that their partner was unaware of its use

- 61% reported no change in sexual sensation
- 34% perceived an improvement
