The female condom
With the female condom, every woman can take control of her contraception and protect herself against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
The condom consists of a pouch, an inner ring for insertion and an outer ring.
To insert it, squeeze the edges of the inner ring together and push it as far as possible into the vagina. The inner ring holds the condom in place and covers the cervix. The outer ring covers the external genitals. The next step is to insert the penis into the condom, after which sexual intercourse can take place.
