Over 30 years of experience in research, development and manufacturing in the fields of contraception and sexual healthcare.

Foundation

The company was founded in 1987 by Gertrud Halberstadt, Dr. med. Hoffmann and Martin Kessel and operated until 1997 as a company of the Pro Familia association under the name "PROFAMILIA Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co KG" in Frankfurt / Main.

Company goals

After all shareholders left the Pro Familia association, the company was renamed KESSEL Marketing & Vertriebs GmbH. Since November 1999, the company has been based in 64546 Mörfelden-Walldorf near Frankfurt / Main.

In May 2014, the company name and corporate objectives were adapted to the changed business activities: Research, development, production and distribution of medical devices for contraception and sexual medicine will continue under the name KESSEL medintim GmbH.

Growth

In April 2016, the company moved to the new business premises in Nordendstr. 82-84. Together with the company Distler Medizintechnik, the company now operated even more efficiently and with less strain on resources.

In June 2019, the company DISTLER Medizintechnik GmbH merged into KESSEL medintim GmbH. KESSEL medintim GmbH has thus become the legal successor of DISTLER Medizintechnik GmbH.

Commitment and heart and soul

The company KESSEL medintim GmbH maintains a certified quality management according to DIN EN ISO 13485 for medical devices, which fulfills the requirements of Annex IX - Chapter I of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 05 April concerning medical devices. The focus remains on the development and production of medical devices for contraception and sexual medicine.

Our focus is to develop solutions that are in demand and sought after by people. Each of our products is developed with personal commitment and "heart and soul". We know each of our products very well and work with qualified distribution partners in 45 countries.

Production takes place almost exclusively in Germany. Medical products are distributed to over 45 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Africa and North America.
